AS BOTS AND ALGORITHMS RESHAPE OUR WORKING LIFE, HUMAN MODE SHOWS THE URGENCY AND DEMONSTRATES THE POWER OF BRINGING DISTINCTLY HUMAN CAPABILITIES FRONT AND CENTER.
A compassionate and research-driven guide to everyday practices that transform how we tackle change in the new world of work.
Based on two decades advising both global corporations and local healthcare professionals, Human Mode reveals how deploying our full humanity allows us to master crucial skills: the art of reading the room, bringing dissenting voices into the conversation, and building consensus.
It shows how to become Bricoleurs, skillful foragers who use their complete portfolio of memories, quirks, contradictions, even private passions, to solve unprecedented challenges. And it makes the case for competent humility as a means of shedding the ill-timed and misguided pressure to maintain performative perfectionism.
While exposing the crippling limitations of an old-fashioned “professional” mode that reduces us to interchangeable, muted cogs, Human Mode guides us toward a better way of working, one far more successful at fostering meaningful collaboration, boosting creativity, and enhancing performance.
